Work Experience in brief:
1. Marine Superintendent with BP Shipping. Holding accountability of 4 VLGC, LNG carrier & 4 Aframax Oiltankers.
2. Vessel Clearance Superintendent (Marine Assurance) with BP Singapore
3. Over 3 years as Marine Superintendent with MOL Singapore
MOL Singapore manages about 35 vessels which includes LPG/Crude/Product /
Chemical Tankers and Bulk.
As a Marine superintendent, was in charge of 8 VLGC and 1 Pressurized LPG and
back up for VLCC/Chemical/Product Tankers/Bulkers.
4. More than 14 YEARS in GAS/OIL/BULK industry which includes over 3 years as Marine Superintendent and about 8 years on board LPG/Oil Tankers/Bulk as Master and in senior rank.
Being responsible / actively involved in :
Marine Superintendent:
1. Ensure business activities are conducted in a manner consistent with BP Group Policies and Expected Behaviours, within the boundaries established by Group Functional Standards and BP Shipping’s Marine Standards and Business Management System.
2. Manage and oversee all marine activities directly related to the management and operation of assigned vessels, including fleet HSSE. Ensure timely approvals for all TRAs.
4. Ensure all activities are in compliance and supportive of HSSE policies and improvement programmes.
5. Ensure assigned vessels have systems in place and are operated in accordance with BP and Industry technical standards and that any modifications are subject to a formal review process and approved by Fleet Integrity Team Leader. Ensure ship repair facilities being nominated for assigned vessels meet technical, quality and HSSE standards as specified and approved by Integrity and Standards Group and HSSE team. Ensure systems are in place to ensure maintenance management systems are operating effectively in accordance with BP, Flag State and Class requirements to provide maximum reliability commensurate with safe operations.
6. Ensure maximum availability of assigned vessels for commercial trading by minimising downtime. Ensure any procurement of parts and services is carried out in accordance with QA requirements, using approved suppliers and contracts and in accordance with financial authorities.
