2001–Date ExxonMobil Logistics/Materials Superintendent (Onne Complex, Nigeria)

Responsible for the management and provision of a comprehensive logistics support for ExxonMobil drilling campaign, working with up to 10 deep water and jack up drilling rigs at one time. Also provide support to all production platforms. Plan and coordinate land and sea transport, managing supply vessel logistics with up to 50 supply vessels in the fleet.

In charge for ExxonMobil Base facility management and maintenance (75.000 m2 stacking area, 7.000 m2 warehouse, building with 48 offices). Responsible for organising, receiving, shipping and dry / liquid bulking. Manage all documentation control, initiating daily and monthly reports and monitoring systems such a vessel movements, cargo handling, bulking, equipment and facility utilisation and all other key performance indicators.

Managing and organizing multi-disciplinary teams comprising more than 180 persons, a fleet of heavy duty cranes, forklifts, and trucks. Implement strict health and safety policies in logistics operations, and liaise with corporate representatives and port officials.

Accomplishments

•Introduced various key performance indicators for monitoring activities and cost performance. Succeeded in consolidating operations, reducing transport costs, reducing delays and waiting time.
•Introduced monitoring systems for double handling cargo. Succeeded in reducing double handling charges / costs. Cost saving $ 500.000 / year.
•Set up new ExxonMobil Base in Onne (relocated and reorganized two older bases: Calabar and Port Harcourt; into the new one to increase efficiency and cost benefit to the organization).
•Mentored, trained and supervised local and expatriate staff. Reorganized and consolidated their duties. Cost saving $ 1.000.000 / year.
•Became Gerson Lehrman Group (New York, USA) Council Member and Consultant for Oil and Gas logistics matters. Consulted and provided analysis to investment management firms such as Ziff Brothers Investment.
