SERVICE PROFILE: 20 years of experience in INDIAN NAVY in the field of marine/ mechanical engineering on board ships/establishments at various levels in installation, maintenance acceptance trials, commissioning, testing, tuning, operation, planned preventive maintenance, defect rectification/ repairs, forecasting and management of spares and coordinating ships refit activities of engineering department with shore authorities.

As engineering departmental in charge , was responsible for installation checks of equipments, operation, planned preventive and predictive maintenance , emergency drill and breakdown maintenance , fault finding and defect rectification , overhauling , setting to work, spares management, testing and operability of following engineering equipments:-
Main Diesel Engines of 6000 HP with CPP Propulsion system
Main Gas Turbine Engines of 32000 HP and Gas Turbine Generator
Diesel Alternators of 400 KW
Air Condition / Refrigeration Plants
HP and LP Air Compressors

Besides I have extensive experience at Marine Gas Turbine Overhauling Center Visakhapatnam ( one of the premier infrastructure for Marine Gas Turbine Overhauling Center in South Asia) as Section-in-charge, responsible for assembly and disassembly of Gas turbine, turbo compressor, various repair& overhauling procedures including GAUGING of various parts, BLADING of compressor and stator, BALANCING, ALIGNMENT of subassemblies and test bed trials.

Higher secondary with PCM from Calicut University


Technical Qualification
Diploma in Mechanical Engg from Centre of Marine Engineering Technology, Lonavla, Pune.
Basic Marine Engineering course (06 Months) from Centre of Marine Engineering technology, Lonavla, Pune.
Internal Combustion Engine Competency Certificate course from Indian Naval Ship Saryu

(a) Personnel and Human Resources: As departmental senior in charge (Middle level Manager) was responsible for organizing, delegating, supervising, training and welfare of personnel in department.
(b) Technical Management:-
- Causative analysis of recurring defect and remedial preventive maintenance actions and suggesting change in design features of equipment / systems for its optimal performance.
- Inventory Management on board ships and establishments. Coordination with shipyard/repair agency/material supply department and agency to achieve schedule completion of installation and refit/repair work package.

I was commended by the Flag officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command for my excellence in performance, and was awarded for Proficiency in my job by Commanding Officers of ships.
