By virtue of an extensive experience in Naval Ships and Submarines as a Chief Mechanic, my objective is to obtain a job in your company, which would allow me to put an effective use of my experience acquired during my present career

WORK EXPERIENCE ________________________________________________

Joined in Marine Engineering Branch of Indian Navy in 1987 and retiring on Jan 2007 after completing 20 years of meritorious service as a CHIEF MECHANIC

During my naval service , I was responsible for various duties related to Overhauling , repair and maintenance of various Marine Engines (Internal Combustion Engine) and its Auxiliaries, namely High Pressure Compressor , Heavy duty pumps, Heavy duty valves, Generators , Oxygen booster pumps , High Pressure Air system. High pressure Hydraulic system, Pneumatic system in various Naval Ships and Submarines

In addition to the above , I carried the duties of In-Charge , Technical Supervision team comprising of nearly 50 team members and also carried out the duties of technical Instructor of Emergency Escape Training School which imparts training on Emergency Escape from a Sunken Submarine. This school has an average training strength of 600-800 trainee in a year

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Centre of Marine Engineering Technology, Lonavala , Pune

Diploma in Fire and Safety Management , NILEM, Chennai

STCW 95 Course from Naval Maritime Academy, Mumabi, an institute recognized by Director General of Shipping.

Basic Firefighting course from Centre of Marine Engineering Technology, Lonavala

Advance Fire Fighting course from NAMAC , Mumbai

ACHIEVEMENTS____________________________________________________

I was instrumental to modify the Pneumatic control of Oxygen booster pump which effectively improved the charging capacity of the Oxygen booster pump and financially benefited to the service by the way of reducing extra manpower and maintenance cost of the system. This has been commended by the Commander -in Chief , Southern Naval Command in 2005.

Ability in use and operate , maintenance and repair of Marine Engines and it’s auxiliaries namely High pressure compressor , Heavy duty pumps , Heavy duty valves , Generators , Oxygen booster pumps High Pressure Air system, Hydraulic system, Pneumatic system etc.

Use of various non-intrusive security technique and equipments

Proficient use and maintenance of security equipments

Ability to command and control of a group consisting of 40-50 team members in an effective manner.

Good communication skill in English, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil
