Instrument Supervisor / Specialist

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
19 years in the field of Instrumentation & Controls with varying positions in Plant maintenance, Project Management, DCS & PLCs Installations & Commissioning, Front End Engineering & Detailing (FEED), Application Engineering & Technical support.
•This position is varied and demanding, as it is diverse. Job duties range from FEED studies to Installation/Commissioning of DCS & PLC to demanding maintenance and trouble shooting procedures, providing application specific solutions on many applications involving process requirements.
•Ensure plant safety, integrity and reliability through development and implementation of specific DCS & PLC system related Instrument Engineering Standard that are based on applicable International Standards, Shell DEP’S and statutory requirements.
•Supervise and Leading a group of technicians to ensure that all assigned maintenance activities are performed safely and effectively in accordance with complex Safety, Health and Environment ( SHE ) policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
•Assist and work together with vendor (DCS system Yokogawa CS3000, Yokogawa Prosafe RS & Triconex TMR ESD system, Foundation Fieldbus and Hart Protocol based equipment) to commission, start-up, hot and cold loop checked, fault-finding and troubleshoot problems arising on auxiliaries, instruments and the whole instrumentation system as well.
•Manpower planning and cost estimation, and preparation of Plant Turn Around activities, failure analysis reports (FAR) and recommendations to avoid recurrence, preparation of various progress reports, PM task reports and purchase requisition for spares.
•Supervise the Quality plan for Maintenance/Overhauling, repair and calibration of different types of Control valves like Flowserve(Valtek), Masoneilan, Fisher, Yamatake Honeywell, Neles Jamesberry Orbit, Velan, Metso and ON OFF valves etc including its Positioner transmitters. Supervise the calibration of all instruments like various Flow meters, Temperature, Pressure, Level, Capacitance Transmitters, I/P Converter, Positioner transmitters and other various instruments etc.
