Professional Experience
TransWorld Drilling Company:
Worked in the position of Floorman from 1980 – 1984
Responsibilities:
Manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem at the rig floor during drilling and during the removal and replacement of strings of pipe or drill stem and drill bit
Maintain drilling equipment on the drill floor
Handle, sort and move drill tools, pipe, cement and other materials
Clean up the rig area
Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment
May drive a truck to transport materials and well service equipment.
YemenHunt Oil Company
Worked in the position of Floorman, DerrickMan and Driller from 1984 – 1989.
• Inspect derricks, or order their inspection, prior to being raised
or lowered.
• Inspect derricks for flaws, and clean and oil derricks in order to
maintain proper working conditions.
• Control the viscosity and weight of the drilling fluid.
• Repair pumps, mud tanks, and related equipment.
• Set and bolt crown blocks to posts at tops of derricks.
• Listen to mud pumps and check regularly for vibration and other
problems, in order to ensure that rig pumps and drilling mud
systems are working properly.
• Start pumps that circulate mud through drill pipes and boreholes to
cool drill bits and flush out drill-cuttings.
• Position and align derrick elements, using harnesses and platform
climbing devices.
• Supervise crew members, and provide assistance in training them.
• Guide lengths of pipe into and out of elevators.
• Monitor oil rig crew members to ensure they can competently perform
the work and are following company policies.
• Enforce rules about wearing proper work attire including Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Hold regular safety meetings and make sure crew members are taking
them seriously.
• Conduct drills, such as blowout prevention (BOP) drills
• Check equipment on a regular basis and record in a log.
• Testing the crew's knowledge and understanding of the importance of
these meetings, checks and drills.
• Orient new staff as they come on board.

Educational Qualification: Secondary School Leaving Certificate(SSLC)- HIGH SCHOOL
Technical Qualification: ITI (Electrician)
Additional Information
Apart from my skill as FloorMan, Derrickman and Driller, I have a flair for repairing electrical items and with the risk of not sounding modest I'm very good at it. I'm the handyman around my house and the neighbourgood.
After leaving the Rigs i opened up my own business which is going succesfully, i manage a total of 50 workers under me.
