Operation Supervisor - Operation Department SHELL Refining Co. (FOM) Bhd Port Dickson (Downstream Manufacturing)
Job Function - Safe operation of In-plot – Crude Distillers /Utilities / Intrument Air/ Cooling Water Systems complex and utilities and ensuring that the assets are operated within the operating window. (Structured plant checks, RCM/RBI/IPF implementation, Basic Equipment Care, Minor Maintenance by Operations,).
: Support to turnarounds by preparing for the turn-around through the shift team, shutting the unit down safely, support during the turn-around and restart.
: Collection, interpretation and communication of information on process conditions, and non-routine information on plant conditions; inclusive implementation of asset check mechanisms.
: Production programs carried out by the shift team to meet scheduling requirements and ensure actions on feedback of any deviations.
: Supervising refinery emergency situations and safe shutdown of plants. [training and preparation, emergency response exercises on loss of services, emergency equipment checks, etc].
: Contribute to Refinery HSSE compliance; instill awareness and alertness in daily work by ensuring that all staff and contractors are meeting Refinery HSSE requirements. (PTW, UAA, PPE, Chemicals Handling, Flaring, Noise, Draining, etc )
: Contribute to strengthening SRC performance. [Controlling costs, supporting business objectives and KPI’s , etc. Key areas are: overtime, process materials, Asset Care, reliability, RBI.
: Laboratory Test such as Flash Point, Freezing Point, Total Disolve Solids, pH, Conductivity.

Job Function : To provide support & maintenance online process analyzers such as Flash Point,Distillation, Final Boiling Point, pH, Conductivity,CO, CO2 & GCs.
: To provide support & maintenance on all Main Labaratories and Lube Oil Laboratory analyzers such as Flash Point, Distillation, Final Boiling Point, pH, Conductivity, CO, CO2 & GCs.
: To maintain the ISO classified equipment and records.

KEY CHALLENGES

Ensure the correct establishment of process and equipment start-up conditions, correct commissioning of process operations and starting up of equipment, correct control of process operations and the monitoring and maintenance of process and equipment in good condition and state.

Ensure HSSE awareness and alertness in daily work among teams and contractors, and adherence to Refinery and other HSSE requirements.

Respond to incidents, hazardous conditions or refinery emergencies, correct response to abnormal process conditions on plant and equipment, correct shutdown of process operations and equipment, correct response to refinery emergency like fire, oil spill and medical emergencies, and ensuring shift teams are ready to do likewise.

Contributing to strengthening SRC performance by controlling costs and supporting business objectives particularly in key areas of overtime, process materials and asset care.
