Mechanical – Rotating Equipment / Reliability / Maintenance Engineer

To secure a chellenging career as a Mechanical Engineer in the field of mechanical maintenance of oil/gas/petrochemical/industrial equipment.

• 20+ years experience in the mechanical maintenance / Erection and commissioning of Petrochemical / Oil / Gas / Utilities / Power equipment

• Independently handled overhauling of low and high-pressure single and multistage Reciprocating Compressors operating up to 220 kg/cm2, handling Propylene, LPG, Hydrogen, Air etc.

• Overhauling of all types of pumps, (Single / Multi Stage, Reciprocating, Centrifugal, Diaphragm, Vacuum pumps) handling, BFW, propylene, and high volatile hydrocarbons, Chemical dosing etc…

• Active involvement in overhauling, of Steam and Gas Turbines in co ordination with OEM and third party contract man-power. Day to day maintenance i.e. monitoring performance, condition and troubleshooting in co ordination with operation / engineering department

• Establishing PM Procedures for plant equipment, based on OEM recommendation and cost effective methods & Updating based on equipment history.

• Break down maintenance of other general equipment like Conveyors, Fans, Blowers, Burners, Tread mills etc.,

• Working knowledge in workshop machines like Lathe, Drilling machine, Lapping machine, Bench grinders, Welding etc.,

• Well versed with all types of measuring instruments.

• Handled special tools like hydraulic spanners, Torque wrenches, torque multipliers, pneumatic spanners, pullers, bearing heaters etc.,

• Can operate Forklifts up to a capacity of 2T.

• Working knowledge in hot (online) tapping machine, onsite flange face machining and serration making etc.,

• Knowledge in using condition-monitoring instruments like BEA 52, B&K 2515, IRD 306, IRD 890 etc. Not trained on vibration analysis and balancing.

• Well versed in using major personal protective equipment.

• Well-trained in First Aid and actually participated in Fire-fighting.

* Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from University of Madras, India from June-1998 to Oct-1998

* Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) from Ministry of Education, Tamilnadu State Government, India during June-1981 to April-1984
