Finance and Admin Officer (September 2000-Present)
•Reviewing Project Payment Requests and related attached documents, then preparing Cash Disbursement Vouchers and distributing Cheques, preparing Journals Vouchers and filing them.
•Prepare and control the daily transactions of the program Office.
Contribute to the capacity building of project partners in Finance skills.
•Work closely with Programs staff in preparing budgets
•Handling VAT records, updating each month VAT receivable and filing VAT correspondence with Finance Ministry.
•Updating bank balance, each month end preparing bank reconciliation, distributing salaries slips to employees and preparing Income Tax report, delivering income tax Cheques to Income Tax department and filing receipts.
•Attending the opening of bids
•Prepare and pay all utility contracts and payments
•Facilitate the personnel policies for the Gaza staff
•Member in the task force committee established to revise and update the Save the Children’s manual.
•Update the office inventory list.
•Manage the Petty cash fund, disbursements, recording and accounting.
•Monitor all Save the Children’s resources (Vehicles, office Inventory Assets and supplies, electrical equipment, telecommunication, stationery).
•Monitor compliance with all operational systems and procedures, Ensure accuracy, promptness and appropriateness of the collected information.
•Issue travel permits and visas for SC staff.
•Assist in assembling briefing materials and documentation.
•Preparing subproject agreements, contracts, payments and biddings.
•Preparing all program implementation reports and budgeting to donors.
