Process Engineer
PetroCedeno is a producer in the Orinoco heavy oil belt of Venezuela. Is a partnership between Total, PDVSA and STATOIL that produces more than 200,000 Barrels of extra heavy crude oil (7° API) per day.
Process Engineer (2006 - Actual). Responsible for the optimization of the all of the processes both production and treatment. Include making recommendations for maintaining or increasing the production while assuring the quality of the produced fluids through optimization of equipment and supervision of chemical treatment program. Include all aspects of HSE including performing HAZOP (Hazardous operations evaluations) for new equipment or process changes.
Process and Laboratory Supervisor (2005-2006). Chemical treatment program, direct responsibility for the quality of the produced fluids (oil for exportation and water for injection).
Commissioning Supervisor (2004-2005). Supervise the construction (make adjustments when necessary), to develop start up and normal operating procedures and to supervise in the startup of the process facilities (the equipment associated with this project included gas separators, heat exchangers, oil heaters, dehydrators (electrostatic), gas flotation equipment (WEMCO), and sand filters (and all of the associated pumps, tanks and plumbing).
Plant Supervisor (2003-2004). In charge of the production facilities in the “Estación Principal” : control of the dehydration process, coordination and control of work permits, supervision of field personnel, and creating production reports.
Field Supervisor (2001-2002) Optimization of the production clusters (well pads), understanding of the startup and shutdown of production clusters under planned and emergency conditions. Monitoring and control of the operational parameters (velocity, torque, pressure, diluent flow and chemical).
Plant Control Technician (1999-2001): monitoring and Control of the operational parameters using SCADA, control of work permits, providing operational assistance, startup and shutdown of operations during normal and emergency conditions.
