Highlights of Project The product provides a solution for improving the Power Factor of the system. StatCon (Static Condenser) developed for the first time in India has a voltage source inverter based solution. This produces the ac voltage from the dc voltage which is coupled to the system in phase via a small reactance. By varying the magnitude of the output voltage produced the reactive power exchange between the STATCON and the ac system can be controlled. I had verified the electronic Circuit design of the product and then integrated it with the product and test the system as a whole. I have also been to the site where the product is interfaced with the system.
