1. Purpose:
Performs required tests for samples of oil, water, amine, glycols, and gas for operational measures according to set standards and technical procedures, including pre-loading and loading tests. Performs maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and apparatus. Prepares required chemical solutions for carrying out various tests and maintains adequate stock of materials. Keeps records of test results and other relevant documents. Observes and practices safety awareness, orderliness, and cleanliness at all times.
2. Principal Accountabilities:
a. With Supervisor’s consent, provides any laboratory related services requested by other Department or Section, especially by Operation/Process, and responds to such requests immediately and promptly as the circumstance necessitates.
b. Performs routine maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment such as gas chromatograph, pH meter, conductivity meter, sulfur analyzer, KF coulometer, spectrophotometer, and salt analyzer, on regular basis to ensure that they are in good operational conditions.
