Research Officer - ExxonMobil Oil Australia Pty Ltd

1• Provide expert laboratory analytical and technical advice and assistance to lubes and external customers.
2• Coordinates / tests the ASTM correlation samples for Engine, Turbine and In-service oils.
3• Maintains / calibrates laboratory equipment within manufacturer, method and QP &G requirements.
4• Assists with the maintenance of laboratory quality and safety system e.g QP&G. NATA and ISO9000.
5• Analyses Honeywell (Aircraft engine oils) samples and provides test reports to Honeywell customers in accordance with documented safety and analytical procedures
6• Maintains Honeywell Software application and accreditation
7• Conducts and / or coordinates the implementation of new test method and equipment
8• Help team prioritize their work making resource available and more efficient for the complex tests.
9• Clarify team roles and responsibilities to optimize available skills.
10• Equipment Trouble shooting and maintenance with service companies.
11• Ensure that all customer and staff concerns are responded quickly, effectively and efficiently.
12• Responsible for providing expert advice, recommendation and support for the laboratory budget, consumables, equipment and purchasing to the laboratory manger and staff
13• Continually looks for opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce operating expense
