1>Enhancement of cooling using Piezo-actuated oscillating fins

A novel cooling method is developed using strain-based piezo-actuators to oscillate the fins with a sinusoidal motion. The enhancement in heat transfer is demonstrated through an increase of 90% in the time-averaged fin Nusselt Number (Nu) over the steady state.
2>CFD Analysis for the Stack design in GE-Rail

CFD analysis was carried out to understand the exhaust gas distribution on the smoke ring for smoke measurement on a 645E EMD style engine, manufactured by GE-Rail.
