Construction Superintendent

To work within project&construction Management team at a well reputable multi national company

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the project to ensure that the assigned project meet their objectives
• Responsible for supervision of construction activities to ensure that the Contractor can verify that the materials and fabrication comply with contract specifications, applicable codes, quality requirements, HSE requirements and legal requirements.
• Support and maintain the highest level of safety awareness at site.
• Provides full engineering support and direction in the coordination of capital projects with other processing directorate divisions and projects directorate, design consultants and EPC contractors to ensure that the divisions operating facility requirements are fully evaluated and correctly incorporated.
• Review construction method statements pre-commissioning procedures, and endorse red-marked as built drawings and construction dossiers.
• Control and endorse work permits for project work.
• Inspect construction works and materials in accordance with project quality plans and inspection & test plans (ITPs).
• Prepare and categories punch list and ensure that all punch list items are cleared by the contractors' progress statements for accuracy.
• Ensure work progress is in accordance with the project schedule using a rational approach and proper reporting system.
• Responsible for the interfaces between the different areas and between new facilities and existing facilities.
• Coordinate and resolve all technical matters such as queries, waivers and non conformance delays.
• Manage and participate in meetings with contractors.
• Initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates (MCC), Taking Over Certificate (TOC0. Acceptance Certificate (AC), and facilitate the issuance of Project Completion & Discharge Certificates.
