Procurement Officer.

Primary objective is for an appointment which will make full use of my experience with suitable rewards for Achievement and Positive input.

During my twenty years of job experience ( five years in India and fifteen years abroad ) with various Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Electromechanical and Trading Companies; I had gained product knowledge of various materials being used in the project construction.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and comfort with application software developed under SAP, Oracle Developer & Foxpro.

I am briefly describing my experience:-

• Accountable for assisting in the development of strategies, policies, procedures and objectives for the operation of the purchasing department.
• After award of each Contract, the Project Budgeted Cost will be allocated for the concerned project and fed in to the Computerized System against which the Procurement Cost will be approved by concerned Project Managers, Engineers & the Management.
• Based on BOQ / Material Requests a minimum of three competitive quotations would be obtained, evaluated for both technical as well as commercial terms and employs cost reduction techniques with emphasis on negotiation and value analysis and “Comparision of Quotes” will be prepared and submitted to the Management for their review and approval.
• Responsible for placing Purchase Orders and ensure proper and timely supplies of materials complying with quality objectives. Project materials of long lead time deliveries are fed in to Microsoft Outlook “task” and liasioning with suppliers by sending reminders to meet delivery schedule.
• Responsible for the preparation of MIS Reports like Weekly Outstanding Project Materials Report incorporating updated delivery schedules and informing concerned Managers/Engineers.
• Visiting suppliers facilities and investigates cost reduction opportunities and suppliers ability to meet quantity, delivery, quality and technical requirements.
• Negotiates prompt corrective action to address non-conforming materials and recover the costs incurred.
• Manage the supply chain by collection of materials from local suppliers and about foreign supplies coordination with Custom Clearing Agent in clearance of materials by Seafreight and Airfreight.
• Taking care of Logistics Operations for the project by timely supplies of Light and Heavy Equipments by entering in to Service Contracts with suppliers.
