Responsibilities/Job Description:

Supervises and Provides Maintenance support for the safe functioning of ABB ADVANT OCS Distributed Control System (DCS) with MOD 300 Software. Check the System health of OMF Shared Memory, CPU load, Control Network, System Diag Alarms. Check Trend Setup, Add Tags in Graphics and I/O. Maintain Full System Backup as per Schedule. Provides troubleshooting, Preventive Maintenance, engineering support and facilitates equipment failure investigation related to Plant control system.
Supervise and maintain the Field Instruments linked with latest industrial digital communication network on Fieldbus (ProfibusDP, HART, Foundation Fieldbus). (Rosemount,ABB,Masoenilan,SAAB Rosemount, Endress Hauser etc)

Development of Maintenance Strategies and Procedures for Instrumentation and Control systems.
Review and ensure the Quality of Execution of Instrumentation and Control system maintenance activities such as Preventive Maintenance, Inspections and Corrective Maintenance job routines are executed in accordance with the agreed work management plans at World-class Standards, whilst effectively controlling cost of Maintenance.
Negotiate Maintenance Contracts for Instrumentation and Control Systems. Maintain Technical Interfaces and Supervision of Manufacturers and Contractors.
Ensure that Spare Parts and Material Purchase Orders have been prepared in time in SAP and monitor that Materials are supplied well in advance of the scheduled execution

Ensuring that Change Control Procedures and relevant Standards are implemented for any changes executed on Instrumentation and Control Systems.
Review Engineering Design proposals, Studies, drawings and documentation.
Ensure Provision of technical support for commissioning activities of Instrumentation and Control System Upgrade Projects
Good knowledge on SAP with PM and MM modules.
Make recommendations for improvements of SAP Maintenance system and SAP Warehouse system. Ensure key drawings and documentation are kept up date.
Maintain equipment histories and technical information in SAP for all work Instrumentation and Control maintenance activities.
Participates in on-the-job training of assigned Saudi developees, follows up their progress and makes recommendations on how to support their learning and progression.
