Career Objective
Currently I work as Senior (Chemical) Process Engineer in the Technical Services Department.
Professional Experience
1. Perform plants/units performance evaluation and process optimization.
2. Carryout catalysts procurement and vendor bids evaluation. Perform catalysts performance evaluation and estimate remaining catalyst-life. Arrange for spent catalyst regeneration and/or disposal.
3. Carry out process design studies related to installation of new equipment and/or modification and replacement of existing equipment. Evaluate vendor equipment and process design proposals.
4. Perform process units and equipments performance evaluation via computer simulations.
5. Participate in incident investigations concerned with process/operation problems.
6. Provide technical assistance during unit shutdowns and unit startups, catalyst unloading and loading activities, catalyst sulphiding and reduction and catalyst regeneration and disposal. Maintain close liaison with outside specialists/contactors involved in the above activities.
7. Assist in performing annual catalysts and chemicals budget. Prepare budget forecast and reconciliation.
8. Inspect process equipment during equipment/unit shutdowns to check the process integrity of the existing equipments and to ensure that modifications/new equipments have been correctly installed.
9. Prepare and collect process engineering data for use by other departments in their design studies or functional analysis.
10. Check process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) prepared by Engineering Departments.
11. Assist in major project work for grass root and revamp plants from inception, Engineering Design (EDP), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) phases.
12. Prepare written reports on all phases of performed activities recommending appropriate courses of action to improve company profitability. Write memoranda requesting or providing technical information, to other departments or affiliates.
13. Keep abreast of developments in process engineering technology by studying published literature and attending appropriate seminars. Reads company correspondence to keep up to date with technical developments.
14. Assist in the training and development of Process Engineers.
15. Report to Process Specialist and Process Superintendent.

Certification
My area is the Low Sulfur Fuel Oil (LSFO) Complex which includes a heavy-vacuum-gas-oil (HVGO) mild hydrocracker, diesel hydrotreater, sulfur recovery unit (SRU), vacuum distillation unit and a hydrogen plant. I was involved in the early stages of three main ongoing projects in Bapco including a new full-conversion Hydrocracker, revamp of the existing Mild Hydrocracker to an ultra-low-sulfur-diesel (ULSD) Hydrotreater and Lube Base Oil Plant Project (LBOP). For the LBOP, I assumed a leading role in Bapco’s team working with the FEED contractor, in Finland.
