Sr. Cost Engineer

I am an experienced project cost control professional, with extensive expertise in cost control, planning, cost estimating, budgeting, cash flow analysis, and expenditure forecast. I have worked with various international engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies in the Oil & Gas industry in such key positions as Project Control Supervisor, Chief Estimator, Sr. Cost Engineer, Business Administrator, and Contract Advisor.

Currently, I am in Saudi Arabia working for Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) Onshore and Offshore Projects. I have been involved in Cost Control of mega projects like Abu Safah Offshore Project ($ 562 million) and Offshore Maintain Potential Project ($ 990 million). Since last 14 years, I have been working in Saudi Arabia with several international Engineering, Procurement, & Construction (EPC) Contractors.

With degrees in BSc Civil Engineering and BS Math, affiliations with Professional Associations, and having attended a number of seminars, conferences and workshops, I have acquired excellent written, verbal, technical, and analytical skills in communications.

• Effective cost control and timely reporting, resulting in better management of capital projects ranging from $ 50MM to $ 990MM
• Streamlining cost reporting procedures by eliminating redundant reports saving time and resources
• Training of technical and non-technical staff in cost control, estimating, and change order procedures
• Re-organization of business administration unit for more productive utilization of available resources
• Proven track record of negotiation and settlement of contractor’s change orders, saving the company substantial amounts of project revenue
