As an oilfield veteran of more than 35 years, he has supervised drilling and completion operations covering the full range applications and technically challenging projects, including a well more than 26,000 ft (8,046 m) TD that remains one of the deepest ever drilled in northern Louisiana. He has worked both onshore and offshore as an operator, contractor and service company representative in the Gulf of Mexico on Jack ups and Semi sub, East Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Algeria, Oman and elsewhere on horizontal and vertical wells

He is highly proficient in well planning, including analysis of potential down hole problems and the development of contingencies. Owing to his proactive approach in assembling and analyzing all pertinent pre-drill down hole data, this hands-on drilling supervisor has encountered a significant well control event over his more three-decade career, despite overseeing HTHP wells where down hole pressures exceeded 17,000 psi.
