Professional Offshore Experience:
(a) In Hydrocarbon (Oil & Gas) sector
i. Concluded Production Sharing Contract for Oil Block no 10B with Ministry of Energy, Republic of Kenya in second week of Feb’2006.
ii. Negotiation for exploration and development of oil Blocks no 10, 14 of Republic of Ethiopia is likely to be concluded by end of May’07.
iii. Production sharing contract for oil block no VIIB & VIIIB of Georgia are in advanced stage and likely to be concluded by end of June’07.
(b) In Energy/Solid mineral sector
i. Acquisition and Exploration of 2 exploration licenses for coal in Tete Province of Mozambique in May’2005.Also put up expression of Interste for development of their offshore gas field.
ii. Detailed geological studies of coal and possibility of Coal bed metane (CBM) in central & north western province of Zambia in July’2005.
iii. Detailed studies of the followings during business trip in Nov’05
a. Coal deposits of Zimbabwe,
b. Mbour & Diorbel Oil fields of Senegal,
iv. Due diligence studies of the Ongopolo (Copper) Mines and Smelter Pvt Ltd of Namibia in April’2006.
v. Detailed studies of the energy sector in Armenia in March’07.
Career Profile:
i. Since May’2005 working with Global Oil & Energy Ltd a subsidiary of Global Steel,as Country Manager and posted in Armenia since March’07 to explore investment opportunity neighbouring country like Georgia & Azerbaijan. Before coming to Armenia, I was in-charge of the East African Region of Global Oil & Energy Ltd for business development.
ii. June’02-April’05: Ispat Industries Limited, India, a holding company of Global Steel, as Sr Manager (Mineral Resources) and developed new sources for of iron ore from Orissa and Karnataka in India and Limestone from Dubai & Oman to meet the requirements of 3.0MTPA steel plant in Mumbai (India). Annual raw material procurement during the period was US$50Millions.
iii. Started career in June’1992 as Trainee Geologist, joined Hindalco (an AV Birla Group company) in Oct’1994 as Exploration Geologist and reached up to Head (Mine Planning & Quality control) before leaving in May’02.
Eductation
1.M.Tech in Mineral exploration from Indian School of Mines,Dhanbad in 1993 & secured 76% marks.
2.M.Sc(Tech) in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines,Dhanbad in 1992 & secured 74% marks.
3.Graduated in Geology Honourse from Ranchi Unviversity Ranchi in 1987 and secured 75% marks.

i. Finalised production sharing agreement for Oil blocks no.10B in Kenya, during Feb’06 as Global Steel decided to diversify in the oil & gas sector. Estimated capital outlay is US$200Millions.
ii. Formulation of confidentiality agreement with the Oil India to participate under new exploration licensing policy VI of the Govt of India for block 19 of Rajasthan & Block 24 of Gujarat in Sept’06.
