INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE

4 weeks Internship (June20-July18, 2005) in PPL (Pakistan Petroleum Limited),
at LPG & NGL Plant, ADHI OIL AND GAS FIELD (70Km south of Islamabad)

 Inducted into the Maintenance, Production, Operations, Instruments, Admin. , Accounts, Billing, Stores and Health, Safety & Environment Departments
 Worked alongside Plant Engineers & Technicians for maintenance work such as replacement of oil filters, replacement of bushes of a centrifugal pump, tightening of a condenser fan belt, fuel injector repairing of a diesel engine
 Closely observed the minor over-hauling (8000Hours) of a Waukesha Engine carried out by technicians from Masco Energy Services. Also observed Radiographic, Electric & Hydro-tests carried out near well 10 by welding experts from The Inspectest and the fabrication & sand blasting process for a storage tank
 Visited the Rig at well 17, being operated by personnel from the Great Wall Drilling Company & the LPG/NGL Plant II being developed by Ranhill Bernard
 Observed operation of cutting tools, drills, fasteners, punches, presses, welding & load lifting equipment, lathe machines and gauges in the maintenance workshop
 Pleasantly exposed to the efficient nature of “System Application Project” (SAP) & “Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition” (SCADA)
