Career Objective
finding a job in the oil and gas exploration sector
Professional Experience
The applicant has a strong background in Middle East and North African Geology in oil related fields.
He has worked for several oil companies in Libya for over 6 years and in Saudi Arabia for Saudi ARAMCO also for more than 6 years.
In Saudi ARAMCO, Saudi Arabia, he worked on the biostratigraphy from Cambrian to Recent, the Environmental Interpretations and Source Rock Analysis.
He started an introduction and development of Biostratigraphical Computer Programs and SEM studies for special fossil type’s determination.
He was involved in stratigraphic field studies in the Riyadh area and the Wajid area.
Also he was involved in the exchange of experiences with PDO in Oman on the boundary region and he studied well samples and field samples from Oman.
He did geological research for ARAMCO on several wells from Jordan, Qatar and Bahrain.
He erected a modern stratigraphic column for the Arabian Peninsula and two yearly newer editions on the stratigraphic column based on true data. He was involved in the studies around the gas potential of wells from the Devonian intervals.
He started to understand and unravel the Ordovician age problems and published together with regional geologists an extensive three part volume ARAMCO Report on the Palaeozoic and Early Mesozoic of the Arabian Peninsula based on field work and exploration wells. He was involved in the initiating research of the Red Sea area.
He could subdivide age wise and environmentally the Khuff and Unayzah Formations in different age intervals.
Further he was Project Manager, Author and Editor of a Project: "Palynostratigraphy of the Paleozoic of Saudi Arabia" in cooperation with many Specialists of the CIMP (European Palynological Society). This Project is similar to a Project carried out for North-East Libya during his earlier stay in Libya. He published two papers in the proceedings of GEO
1996.
