JOB PROFILE (1): Senior Civil/Structural Design Engineer in Gredeco Ansari Consulting Engineers, Kingdom of Bahrain from May-04 to Till Date
1) Project BAPCO – SULPHUR HANDLING FACILITIES
Client : Bahrain Petroleum Company
JOB : Carried out the analysis, design and preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specification for tender purpose for following structures.
1)Stacker Reclaimer supported on down stream end of under ground tunnel of depth 8.5m x width of 8.15m x length 50.0m Roof of tunnel supports stacker of weight 550 MT with a central hole of 5.6m diameter. Complete tunnel designed for a crack width of 0.2mm. Roof slab analysed as finite elements using staad pro for operating and test conditions
2) Stock Pile Area. : Circular in plan of diameter 76m and 4.5m high retaining wall for storage of sulphur pellets designed. Base slab designed for surcharge load of pellets and front end loader movement
3) Pelletization plant building : plan size of structure 22.0m x 25.0m x 4.8m clear head room. Roof designed as truss of span 22.0m with GI sheeting. Pellet pant equipment support on floor slab
4) Piperack : Piperack of width 3.0m for a length of 350m running between north and south battery limits of sulphur pelletization. Foundation and supporting frame work designed for operating and test conditions
5) Substation building designed as RC framed structure, of size 16.5m x 5.75m x 7.85m height. Ground floor designed as open for cables below PLC cabinets and first floor designed for PLC panel loads. Walls near transformer designed as minor explosion proof walls.
6) Control Building designed as RC framed structure of size 8.75m x 17.68m x 3.8m height as per Bahrain Petroleum Company operators building standards
7) Sulphur Tank Foundation : Foundation for steel sulphur tank of 14.0m diameter 5.90m height supported on compacted earth fill. Circular retaining wall designed for retaining earth compacted below tank base. Catch basin of 24m x 24m designed for this sulphur tank
8) Other structures includes conveyor foundations, cooling water pit, Neutralization Pit, underground pits for electrical and control cables
2) Project AL Hidd Phase III Desalination Plant
