Professional Experience

25 years of experience in Document Control / Administration with Engineering Business, Contracts, Maintenance Departments
[ 22 years with M/s. Qatar Petroleum, Doha, 2 years with Finance Exchange, Doha. ]
Positions held have included :-
• General Clerk Materials : QP Onshore Maintenance Fields,
• General Clerk Contracts & Budget in Planning Division,
• Technical Clerk in Maintenance Utilities Division,
• Snr. Clerk Technical in Maintenance Utilities and Operations division of Maintenance Department,
• A/Technical Assistant in Maintenance Manager’s Office,.
• Chief Clerk (Documents) in Engineering Business Dept. carrying out document control works for various Offshore projects : QP Offshore Engineering Projects.

• Currently working in the position of Senior Document Controller responsible for the following, with a Government Department handling construction and maintenance of buildings and infra-structure development :
- Preparation document control procedures and establishment of Document Control Centre dedicated to Contracts Administration and Engineering Business Activities.
- Develop using Microsoft Office software, Document Control System, for Document Register, Transmittals, Correspondence Control, Document Review, follow up and expediting, and prepare the system to qualify for relevant ISO Certification.
- Establish and maintain auditable record of Central File for current and superseded set of contract documents and project specific correspondence.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining Inter-departmental Policies & Procedures on Tenders and Contracts; Standard Documents, Project specific Codes & Standards, Industry Standards.
- Assist in developing Enterprising Document Management System.
- Review requests, prepare and forward Addendum Agreements (Variation Orders) to management and follow up until approval in FABIS of Professional Services Agreements of Operating Departments.
- Prepare and control Recommendation for Payments (invoice approval) of Operating departments
Until January 2006 : Documents & Materials Controller in Engineering Business Dept. of M/s. Qatar Petroleum and carrying out independently document control works for various Offshore projects, approx. value of projects in a year QR.200 million. Past 7 years worked in this position.
