Title: "A Design and Implementation of an Autonomous Helicopter".
Abstract: Two controllers are designed and implemented to stabilize an autonomous Helicopter. The first controller was a digital Proportional, Integral and Derivative (PID) controller, which was implemented on a PIC18F452 microcontroller by Microchip. A 3D gyro system with data acquisition system was used to provide orientation and information about the helicopter, these information were later used by the controller to provide the necessary action to stabilize the system. The second controller was designed using Fuzzy Logic techniques. The performance of both controllers was outstanding.
