FINAL YEAR PROJECT: Adsorption Of Iron (Fe) From Landfill Leachate By Biosolid Waste

The research project studied about the adsorption capacity of dead fungal biomass, Phanerochaete chrysosporium, contained in biosolid through four heavy metals concentrations of cadmium, copper, zinc and iron contained in synthetic wastewater and iron metals in leachate. The biomass was used due to its abundance from previous project (bioconversion of wastewater for lignin peroxydase production). The results of this project indicated some possibilities that exist in the clean up of the environment with the usage of wastes from natural resources.
