„« Co-ordinating the activities of the team to effectively carry out the integrated material management function of the project using the ERP package, IFS And EDM Package, WTT.
„« Assessing the time frame within which the total requirements of materials for the Aircraft production have to be procured based on schedules.
„« Preparing the material requirement charts for materials like Raw materials, Standard Parts, Bought out items, Line replacement units etc. & preparation of estimations for the allocation of budget.
„« Finding the sources of repute for all the parts involved, from India And abroad.
„« Preparation of enquires to be send to sources & Rating of vendors according to their proposals.
„« Preparation of orders to sources ( Foreign , Indian & other divisions of HAL )
„« Follow-up with the different sources--verbal and written-- to ensure timely
delivery of materials.
„« Follow-up with finance for clearance of proposals as well as payments due to suppliers.
„« Co-ordinating with the stores activities for the inspection and clearance of the materials on receipt at factory premises, and return and replacement of rejected parts.
„« Follow-up with production department for the issuing of materials as per progress of production & finding the deficiency of items.
