July 02, 2000 to June 09, 2003 (Maintenance Engineer)
• Participated in Pre-startup activities of various Rotary and Stationary equipment, preparing Checklists and Reports to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• After start-up of Refinery, worked as member of mechanical maintenance team looking after routine plant maintenance, trouble shooting, preventive maintenance and minor plant modifications. Our guiding philosophy was ‘Pro-active Prevention’ rather than waiting for breakdowns thus minimizing ‘Plant Downtime’ and saving precious material and human resources.
• Reviewed and updated two-year operational spare parts of major and critical equipment in coordination with materials control department and correspondence with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors.
• Generated and maintained equipment breakdown history reports and spare parts catalog using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) using MAXIMO and adopting it to our needs.
Pak-Arab Pipeline Company Limited (PAPCO)

• Working as a Construction Engineer in PAPCO (Joint venture of PARCO, PSO, SHELL and CHEVRON) 780 km cross country pipeline (White Oil Pipeline Project) of US $ 480 m.
• Supervision of activities like excavation of foundations of different equipments like HSD storage tanks, centrifugal pumps and compact testing after backfilling, construction of concrete foundations as per project specifications.
• Inspection of Fabrication and erection of HSD storage tanks at Shikarpur terminal as per API code 650 and ensure the testing of welding joints with MPI and radiography tests recommended by project specifications.
• Coordination and correspondence with contractor (CPECC and TECHNO Consortium) and with PAPCO head office by generating reports to review progress and enforce Project specifications and procedures.
• Enforcing Safe work system through PAPCO’s work permit system to ensure safe work practices with a view to protecting Personnel and existing local facilities and environment.
