I am a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Chemistry and Mathematics, Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety & Management and NEBOSH - U.K. & with 11 years of experience in the area of Safety, Health & Environment, OIL & GAS CONSTRUCTION.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Presently working in M/s. CTJV (Chiyoda - Technip Joint Venture), Qatar, Since Feb 2006 as HSE SUPERVISOR for one of the Largest EPC Oil & Gas Onshore & offshore construction project having around 25ooo manpower.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administratively reports to Safety Manager.
Carries out daily site walk around to ensure adherence to safe work practices are in operation, Compliance to the Safe Work Procedure approved by client.
Liaises with the Client Site Safety Representative(s) and other plant concerned authorities or sub contractors for the implementation of Safety, Health and Environment Management system to ensure adherence to Company’s established safe work procedures, guidelines, standards and code of practice.
Adequate fire and fall Protection are in place, adequate welfare and first aid facilities are properly maintained, approved tools are being used and sufficient Personal Protective Equipment provided and properly worn to ensure Incident Injury Free workplace.
Checks and ensures compliance of the approved HSE programs and procedures, Safe Work Permit System in the plant. Performs daily and documented periodic safety inspections at work site to identify report and correct unsafe conditions, methods and work practices.
Closely monitors rigging and lifting activities at site to ensure the compliance with the safe work practices and according to work method statement & JSA.
Permit-required confined space entries crane Work / lifting operations, hot work, equipment energization, tie-ins, and similar hazardous activities and ensure that all relevant requirements are complied with.
Checks and ensures compliance of site work force with the approved Safe Work Permit System / Procedure in the plant. Performs daily and documented periodic safety inspections at work site to identify report and correct unsafe conditions, methods and work practices.
To prepare Schedule HSE Committee meeting and departmental Committee members.
To prepare agenda for HSE Committee meeting in consultation with Chairman of SHE committee.
To co-ordinate mock Drill/ Emergency Drill to maintain effectiveness of emergency Preparedness plan.
To co-coordinate Safety Audit, HAZOP Study, Risk Assesment, Safety survey, Housekeeping audit, ISO 9002, ISO 14001 EMS, TPM, Quality Circle, 5S, etc.

NEBOSH, General Certificate.
Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety Management” from Maharashtra Board of Technical Education, Mumbai (Govt. OF Maharashtra).
B.Sc. (Chemistry & Mathematics), passed in 1995 from Mumbai University, Mumbai.
