A. HSSEQ Manager of ATAS Refinery/Terminal Conversion Project
Managing Health , Safety , Security , Environment and Quality issues of both day to day terminal and the refinery to terminal conversion project(A large demolishing and construction project).
To direct and manage the engineers, technicans and others who work for my depertment such as firebrigade, technical safety department, security, environment, health (doctor and nurses) laborotory. Executing plant operation, technical safety , fire safety, road safety, emergency response planning, PPE selection, ISO 9001:2000/14001 activities , HSSE Management Systems, contractor management, competency assessments and trainings, waste management, following the relevant regulations and laws and compliance, managing integration of QHSE policies and procedures of the company , providing and maintaining QHSE training resources for the entire refinery(manufacturing) and project(industrial foundation project), providing induction trainings for the new and transferred employees , establishing and maintaining HSSE data tracking/reporting systems , arranging necessary trainings for the employees who have to have certain cerificates , participating leading the investigations of accidents(tripod) , gathering unsafe act/condition reports and derivating/sharing lessons learnts from them, participating/leading Hazops/Hazids/HEMP etc for the projects and specific activities within the refinery, performing HSSE audits , organazing/participating safety meetings,
being a member of executive team. Due to this special conversion project, the work environment consists of different nationality of employees. The project has some 90 million USD budget with 700 employees.
Selected Achievements
1- Great achievement in waste management. No environmental incidents during disposal of hazardous waste. Two million USD cost saving in waste management.
2- 8 million hours without LTI
3- Strong road safety culture adaptation to the organisation. No recordable accidents
4- Proven results on emission numbers.
