Petroleum Engineer, Reservoir Engineer, Well Performance Engineer

Employed for 10 years in various positions of increasing responsibilities. Leading well operations team of the division that operates two oil fields (Stah and Mereksen) and two gas condensate fields (East and West Alrar) in the Southeastern Sahara Desert (1600 km south East of Algiers).
From 2001 up to date, I have joined back Sonatrach headquarter in Algiers, as a team leader manager of multidisciplinary subsurface team operating 8 gas and oil fields in Ohanet/Alrar area.

• Responsibilities and duties included:

- Manage a team of several engineers; reservoir engineers, reservoir geologist, petrophysist .
- Ensure oil and gas production, as predicted in the development plan of the concerned
fields.
- Programming the necessary operations in order to prevent any production loss or well damage: WO, Infill Drilling, Seismic, ABC (Analysis Behind Casing), PURE perforation, Injection and Production Rates…
- Analyse well logging records such as Density, Neutron, Resistivity, Gamma Ray, SP, MDT, CMR, UBI…
- Build and Update numerical reservoir simulation for oil and gas fields.
- Set mid and long-term predictions runs: Production, Injection, Investment, and Wells…

• MS Master Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Oklahoma University in 2001. Graded A.
• BS Engineering Degree (5years) in Petroleum Engineering from Algerian Petroleum Institute (IAP) in July 1987. Graduated, with Honors
• Scientific Baccalaureate with Honors, Algiers, Algeria 1982

Team leader of a multidisciplinary subsurface team developing 8 oil and gas fields and (300 strings) in the southeastern Algerian Sahara desert. Currently, I am involved in all aspects of appraisal, development, management and monitoring of oil and gas reservoirs, well planning, execution, evaluation, remedial works. Continuously studying opportunities to enhance production by water and gas shut off and by-passed oil tracking. Proficient at working independently and as part of a team with international exposure, keen to work in challenging environment.
