QA/QC Engineer - Mech./Welding/Painting

Total ¡®20¡¯years experience in Quality Inspection of mechanical constructions almost EPC projects, out of that abroad experience (in middle-east) is 15 years.

Nature of duties performed in quality department :

şu Establishment of quality procedures such as; welding procedures, welder qualifications, inspection-test plans, painting procedures, NDE procedures, pressure test procedures, mark of weld maps, preparation of checklists and various work procedures/method statements.

şu Inspections carried-out such as; verification of drawings/specification, review of MTC, monitoring of standard workmanship, checking of visual & dimensional, review of NDT reports- VT, RT. UT. MT. PT. PMI, Interpretation of weld radiographs, surveillance of installed piping elevation / routing / orientation & listing of punch items, inspection of painting / wrapping applications, mark of as-built sketches, witness for pressure test, preparation of stage inspection reports, final test packages / quality dossiers etc.

Familiar with reference of international codes like ASME (Sec.-II, V, VIII, IX, B31.3, B31.8) API-650, API-653, API-1104, AWS-D1.1, ASTM, AISI, SSPC, NACE, etc. also various project specifications & related standards.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION. :
(1). Diploma in Mechanical Engineer - Govt. Polytechnic, Visakhapatnam, A.P. India.
(2). Post-Diploma in Welding Technology - Govt. Polytechnic, Visakhapatnam, A.P. India.
(1 ½ year part-time evening classes.)

VACATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
(1). Welding Inspector - CSWIP 3.1 - Certified by TWI, UK.
(2). Welding Inspector - Certified by ADOR Institute of Welding Technology, Bombay, India.
(3). Interpretation of Weld Radiographs - ADOR Institute of Welding Technology, Bombay, India
(4). ASNT level-II in RT, UT, PT, MT. from Star Technical Institute, Madras, India.
(5). Diploma in Total Quality Management & ISO 9000 - from IIMT, Chennai, India.
(6). Diploma in Internal Quality Auditing & QS9000/ ISO 9000 - from IIMT, Chennai, India.
(7). Computer literature & typing - Windows : MS-Ward, Excel, Internet & Email.
