Dept: Mud logging
A. Geological monitoring:
a) Collect and supervise the collection of cuttings samples from proper logged depth and at the proper intervals.
b) Wash and screen sample, divide them into correct portion and pack them by sets for client, partners and trade.
c) Examine and describe samples as per oil industry standard and client specification.
d) Evaluation of samples for hydrocarbon shows.
B. Gas and drilling parameters monitoring:
a) Closely monitor gas levels, lag time and drilling parameters and reporting any anomalies to the persons concern for action.
b) Monitoring and evaluate data in order to identify abnormal tendencies and in form the relevant drilling personnel for potential dangers, indications of drilling assembly wear/failure etc.
C Support services:
a) Assist in core recovery and description when needed.
b) Collect circulated (spot sample) for geological control while drilling.
c) Monitor drilling parameters for sign of problems down hole while drilling.
d) Transport the section of the core to processing areas.
e) Examine fit and mark core pieces.
f) Analyze and log lithology
g) Seal core pieces and packaged them for transport.
h) Also assist in well testing operations and sampling when needed.
i) Assist the client company in the control of drilling operations to the best of themudlogger ability.
