Position : PROCUREMENT ENGINEER
Duration : Since December 2006

Major Responsibilities include:

„« Review of Requisitions for materials, Tools & Equipment and Finalize specifications with end users before floating enquiries.
„« Locate and select potential sources of materials & develop lists of recommended sources locally and Overseas.

„« Prepare Request for Quotations from selected Suppliers

„« Evaluate competitive offerings to determine the overall best offer for a material / Equipment.

„« Negotiate with suppliers for better price, delivery and payment terms.

„« Conduct supplier visits/evaluations to determine suitability.

„« Prepare and/or issue contracts/purchase orders

„« Resolve contract/purchase order differences with suppliers.

„« Coordinate with Finance department for terms of payment ,L/C or other mode of payments

„« Create credit facilities with Suppliers

„« Resolve quality problems with suppliers and user departments.

„« Expedite deliveries and follow-up procedures for shipment and delivery to ensure the delivery of material on site to meet the Project deadlines.

„« Overall Administration of Purchase Department
