Professional Experience
Field Engineer.
Develop work plans and supervise crews involved in carrying out new installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance and upgrading activities. Issue as-built drawings, acceptance letters and off hiring letters on the completion of each project. Ensure work is completed within set time frames and to required quality and safety standards. Endorse for approval requisitions for the obtaining of consumables, spare parts and any special tools needed to meet project requirements. Monitor usage and maintain stock at optimum levels. Review project requirements and initiates service requisitions for the hiring of equipment, third party inspections, testing and certification services. Ensure that all equipments required for the execution of a project are available, in good condition and ready on time for handover to logistics for relocation.
PMS-12 (Laying Barge) Field Engineer 11/2005 – 04/2006.
• PETROBEL – PMS: Restoration of F-10 P/F, Jacket reinforcement through the installation of sub sea bracings.
• GUPCO – PMS: Laying the shore approach portion of the 20” MWF – M-36 MOL and Replacement of an old 20” existing riser with a new one at M-55 P/F.
PMS-MAYO (DSV) Field Engineer 04/2006 – on going.
• GUPCO – PMS: Sub sea installation of concrete sleepers and mattresses on crossing locations of the 16” Saqqara multi-phase pipeline and the 12” M-55 / GS-327 pipeline as per alignment sheets and universal coordinates specified.
• ROLLS ROYCE – PMS: Replacement of the bow thrusters for the DSV PMS-MAYO, demounting of old bow thrusters, motor foundations, thrust elements and electric motors, demounting of thruster’s tunnels after cutting tunnel’s skirts and demounting of bellow seals, cutting of old thruster’s flanges, installing the new thruster temporarily with the new flange and doing alignment measurements and then welding the new flange to the tunnel, installing the thruster’s tunnels, the new thrusters with the new motor foundations and thrust elements, installing the hydraulic connectors, the electric drive motor and determining the final tension on the rubber dampers. Installing the bellow seals, clamp rings, testing them for leaks and finally welding of the tunnel’s skirts.
