• Develop and implement the annual marketing plan for sales and pricing strategies of the product for domestic and international market under my portfolio.
• Identify, develop and implement the trading strategies for the product from non Petronas system as a mean to increase MITCO's trading function.
• Identify, organise and deliver a third sourcing in the event of the product plant experiencing unplanned shutdown to ensure that commitment to term customers are always met to maintain the image of a reliable marketer and trader.
• Develop and maintain good rapport with plant, participate and contribute effectively in Plant Monthly co-ordination activities in terms of plant inventory planning, sales plans, logistics arrangements so plant can optimize their operating parameters.
• Negotiate and monitor the marketing & trading transactions so as to obtain the best possible price in the market in order to maximize the margin.
• Undertake market intelligence and apply the most accurate information for effective marketing and trading.
• Responsible for negotiations of Term and Frame Contracts with buyers and suppliers.
• Prepare and consolidate the department's annual budget and provide necessary inputs for the division's strategic planning cycle.
• Develop trading alliances with producers and trading partners for the purpose of acquiring expertise and transfer of technology.
• Foster and maintain relationship with clients, industry experts and continuously seek new clients and enhance handling volumes regardless of plant's production ability with a view of increasing trading volume and revenue for MITCO.
• Ensure all Sales and Purchase Contracts are signed and enforced in a timely manner and as per the contracts.
• Manage and monitor risk management procedures and guidelines and work procedures manual are adhered to prior to concluding of deals and ensure that the risk is at the minimal exposure to MITCO.
