Project: The International Road (Shuqrs/Mukallah), Yemen - 420 km- Contract Value $ 55 million.
Client: Ministry of Public Works and Highways.
Consultant: Consulting Engineering Services (India) Pvt. Ltd.
Executive Secretary.
Responsibilities included:
• Exercised effective cost control to the main items of expenses of the Contractor in consultation with the Project Director.
• Assisted the team of engineers to calculate various items of work for the main as well as sub-contractors, by extensively using data base and spreadsheets (latest versions).
• Maintained proper records in both macro and micro levels.
• Drafted for the Project Director, correspondences for various parties, including the Client and Consultant.
• Organized meetings with various parties.
• Coordinated with multi-faceted bodies including local governing bodies and sorted out problems for smooth functioning of the project without hindrance.
• Made liaison with the suppliers both within and outside the country for prompt supply of materials in time and in sufficient quantities.
