Post:Fixed Assets & Materials Accounts Dept. Type of Company: JV between EGPC and Devon Energy corp. Jul-2001-Oct to date. Oil and Gas Exploration and Producing Co. Responsibilities: Handling Fixed Assets, and Materials Accounts, in addition to Projects Cost reports and Accounts Payable as well. Carrying out the responsibilities of Projects Cost Controller for East Fault Block Development Project, building a new platform in addition to upgrading On/Off shore facilities handling all financial issues related to the project including; but not limited to;
• Monthly closing for both Materials and Fixed Assets Accounts, Budgets monitoring, revision; Payments, Cost control, cash flow; Handling external/internal audit review-reports regarding Payments/Projects/Fixed Assets and Materials Accounts; Executing financial accounting and control activities for assigned Offshore/Onshore projects; Development of improvement procedures within project accounting; Implements accounting procedures and controls to ensure ongoing adherence to COMPANY accounting policies and relevant governing agreements; Participates in the monthly accrual process, analyzes financial results, and reports in variances to budget; Produces monthly reconciliations and contributes to the preparation of monthly reporting packs and annual financial statements; Ensures adherence to COMPANY accounting policies and procedures, and makes recommendation to management in respect of process improvements; Producing cost accounting reports, project analysis and budgetary support Project Team/ Management; Coordinates between Finance and Projects department for the purpose of: Cost analysis, and financial reporting; Budget Control/Revision; Cash calls and support activities. Assist with Projects/Wells cost estimates; Prepares and ad-hoc reports to meet both department and management needs; Assist in the development of and recommend improvement initiatives; AFE budget management: AFE approval, reporting, monitoring and revision in coordination with AFE responsible manager and the Head office in Houston, USA; Work-over budget program: Reporting, monitoring and revision in coordinating with Egypt w/o program leader and the head office; Handle all payment related to w/o program and AFE including contracts;
