• Responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of the Materials Catalogue in SAP (MM) and the entire Material Master that controls material related activities in Procurement, Warehousing, Inventory, Quality Management and Finance
• Achieving this requires the extraction of data supplied primarily from Maintenance Departments together with any pertinent references such as technical drawings, parts lists, bills of material, operational manuals, etc.
• Technical Evaluation for the regular purchasing items for the quotes received by the procurement department.
• Well conversant with the material standards & specs.

Involved in various projects which are mentioned below:
1. Team member in the Cataloguing and conversion team of 150,000 items in Shell-CMT package from EMA at Qatar Petroleum, Doha
2. Material master preparation and support for SAP-MM Implementation at GAIL India ltd, Petrochemical, LPG and pipeline units
• Developed Corporate materials master for 23 plants from all over India approx. of 286,000 materials, rationalizing to 170,000 codes
• Support for Corporate level SAP-MM Implementation and Material master uploading for 170,000 items.
• Created standard templates for unique materials type covered in GAIL
• Physical verification of material at stores for need of material specification

3. Material Coding & Cataloguing for SAP covering 300,000 materials of seven refineries, pipeline and marketing division of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., India. On rationalization the material count was bought down to approx. 170,000 material codes.

Responsible for the production of aluminum alloy wheels by operating Low pressure die casting machine.
Successfully involved in the installation, commissioning and stabilization of the foundry equipment.
Involved in increasing the quality of the product by providing suggestions in the die design.
