Duties & Responsibilities
Monitoring of field activities such as installation of electrical conduits, cable laying & wiring, and installation of electrical equipments including the test required for the transformer, Switchgear, Switchrack, Switchboard etc. and installation of cathodic protection in buried pipelines prior mechanical completion.
Interface with SAPMT (Saudi Aramco Project Management Team) and Contractor’s QA/QC representatives to establish project requirements and procedures and to ensure Inspection’s activities and feedback are timely productive. Review, comment and concur with contractor’s quality manual, quality plan, quality procedures, review shall include work site instruction inspection procedures, inspection and test plan and inspection checklist.
Monitor, assess and perform quality surveillance of the quality management system and products/facilities being supplied/constructed by the main contractor and or his sub contractor.
Monitor all phases of design, field procurement and construction to ensure that standards, specifications and scope of work are met. Review the contractor’s construction assessment schedules and monitor assessment results on an ongoing basis. Reserves the right to interview Contractor’s proposed QA/QC candidates and disqualify any individual or agency on technical grounds.
Supervise daily work progress, monitoring sub-contractor’s safety & progress in construction activities regarding the electrical works.
