Responsibilities:
• Implementation and monitoring of the PTW system.
• Maintain the HSE Library.
• Ensure company HSE policies and procedures are implemented consistently and effectively, and are known and understood by all employees.
• Regularly inspect the work areas to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Provide meaningful advice to line-management on HSE matters including legislative and industry standards.
• Assist with accident / incident investigations and compilation of complete reports in a timely manner.
• Assist supervisors with the implementation and induction HSE training to all levels of employees and subcontractors as required.
• Monitor the system of maintenance and inspection of life saving and fire fighting equipment.
• Conduct the emergency trainings and drills to the personnel.
2003 – 2006: Maersk Sealand (South America Branch), NYK (Japan), V.Ships (Germany Branch).
Safety/Navigation Officer onboard various types of the cargo vessels (Container carriers 25000 DWT, Bulk Carriers 50000 DWT, PCTC up to 16000 DWT (4000 cars onboard) etc.)
Responsibilities:
• Ship’s Safety Officer
• Officer in charge of navigation watch.
• Safety of the navigation.
• Performing the drills and trainings with crew according to SOLAS, ISPS Code, MARPOL, etc.
• Maintenance and regular check of all the firefighting and lifesaving equipment and systems as per International regulations.
• Maintain the ship’s safety record books.
