Successfully obtained OCA (Oracle Certified Associate) DBA tracks in ORACLE 9i.

DBA activities carried are;
• Provide DBA support for designing, establishing, upgrading and maintaining Oracle databases
(Oracle7 to 10g) for production ,development and test environments, including performing migrations and upgrades.

• Manage database configuration and tuning; follow best practices for enterprise database monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance

• Monitor error log(s), database and log space, user activity and resource utilization.

• Monitor database server system resources to ensure production systems meet availability requirements and hardware enhancements are scheduled in a timely fashion.

• Configuring RAC environment and Data Guard in Oracle9i and 10g (For load balancing, availability 24*7).

• Handling multiple backup and recovery strategies (including export/import, cold backups, hot backups and RMAN) to minimize MTTR.

• Oracle Performance tuning by using standard tools (Statspack/AWR, TKPROF, ADDM, Sql Tuning Advisor, and Oracle Spotlight utilities) and using individual commands in command prompt.

• Implement scripts to automate database activities and to take precaution before problem is occurred

• Use Oracle recommended tools for general DB administration:
Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control (other embedded utilities), Database Configuration Assistant, Database Upgrade Assistant, Net Configuration Assistant, Net Manager, Oracle Spot light, etc.
