2006 -
For the period of September 2006 to December 2006, I worked as a Service Engineer Trainee at Tucker Energy Services-Wireline Division (Cased Hole department).
Job Description
I have to learn the theoretical and practical aspects of all cased hole operations, for example:
1) Gamma Ray/CCL Logging Tool.
2) Setting of CIBP, and servicing of the setting tool in the yard.
3) Depth correlation for accurate setting depth of TCP guns.
4) Loading of explosives in carriers, priming of guns and perforating.
5) Cement Bond Log and Radial Bond Log.
6) Noise and Flowmeter Log.
7) Making up of a cable head before every job.
8) Making up of guns and rig up of wireline tools at the well site.
2006 -
For the period of January 2006 ¡V May 2006, I worked as a Co Op Trainee at Tucker Energy Services- Wireline Division.
Job Description
1) I learned about the various Open Hole and Cased hole logging tools and their mechanics.
2) I learned about wireline perforation.
3) I went on various wireline jobs onshore, for example setting of Bridge plugs and perforation.
4) I learned about Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP), and the mechanics.
5) I helped prepare TCP jobs and went both onshore and off-shore to complete the jobs.
6) I learned about the various firing heads for TCP, types of charges and safety in handling these explosives.
7) I learned about the Arrow Set and Omega-matic Packers and how to set them.
8) I learned about underbalance and how to calculate it.
