I. MATERIALS MANAGEMENT

Dy. Manager (Purchase )
Key functions

• Responsible for the procurement of Engineering equipments, spares, chemicals, catalyst , Tower packing, Raw materials and Packing materials to meet production requirements of the various production units within SPIC Fertilizer complex.
• Planning of Raw Materials based on Production Plan and Bill of Materials
• Planning of critical spares, accessories and consumables
• Practicing quality Systems in Purchasing
• Initiating cost reduction exercises by adopting the best practices in purchase in minimizing the inventory holding cost.
• MIS reporting to Unit Leadership
• Conducting Techno- commercial Negotiation related with material which are of high value and critical in nature connected to supply chain with high momentum and spirit
• Critical spares review and follow up
• Establish and renew the rate contract with added pricing advantage and least lead time possible for regular items
• Planning & Coordinating all activities connected with supply chain process of various materials
• Vendor development, rating and assessment
• Supplier management: managing supplier relationship and supplier performance including ownership of supplier management data: savings metrics compliance
• Coordination with inter department & Intra department to achieve the common goal of the corporate
• Managing and motivating the team of workers and staff

• Additional Concentrator in Phosphoric Plant
(Further to enhancement of production capacity)

Includes procurement of tubes for the following exchangers and their re-tubing job at Sub-contracting site 1524 Ammonia plant loop condenser

• Ammonia Plant Synthesis Compressor IV Inter cooler & After cooler

• Urea Plant CO2 Booster Inter cooler & After Cooler

• DAP Plant Additional Fume Scrubbing System

• Ammonia Plant Primary Reformer Tubes

• Catalyst for Ammonia Plant & Sulfuric acid plant

• Modification of Reformer ID/FD fan & Driven system

• Arsenic encaptuvalisation project

• Involved in Annual turnaround procurements
