Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance of fuel distribution systems ranging from ground product service stations to large bulk storage and distribution facilities, to include Type III hydrant (automatic fueling) systems.
Performs all electrical, mechanical, and structural maintenance, repairs or replacement on all facilities, systems and equipment installed by the Contractor under this procurement, and performs systems maintenance as required by Air Force Manual 32-1275.
Inspection, evaluating conditions of, and maintaining fuel storage tanks, pipelines, and piping systems, hydrant systems, product pump, motor control center, filter, meter, gauge, and flow control mechanisms, manifold and valve systems, and other related petroleum system components.
Detecting/recognizing system component malfunction, misalignment, leak, and adjustment issues and performing scheduled and unscheduled fuel system maintenance within the scope of the contract Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Removing, repairing and replacing system components with basic knowledge of ATG (automated tank gauging) systems, high/low level alarms, and cathodic protection systems.
In conjunction with PM, APM and Accounting Clerk, the FDSM is responsible for ensuring that all tools and spare or bench stock inventory items are on hand as required and maintained in a clean and serviceable condition.
Make all records, schedules and programs of maintenance and keep the records through a computer software Express Maintenance.
Performs all the duties of Fuel Distribution System Operator.
Comprehend and convey technical information in writing and verbally to Maytag Aircraft management personnel and U.S. Government representatives.
