Worked as section head the DCS Operated two Crude Distillation Units of the Refinery.
Presently section head of Utilities, Oil & Gas Movement of the Refinery.
This includes utilities operation, ATG tank farm (SCADA), Oil terminal/ Installation operations, crude oil selection, logistic/transportation, scheduling and processing considering GRM. Crude and products blending, storages, inter tank transfer, crude receipt & products metering /dispatches via pipe line, rail/road/bowzers to OMCs and products export (Jetty operation).

Statistical approaches to coordinate different processes/crudes to optimize overall throughput or economics of the Refinery (ARL processing about 55 type crudes, ranges 15-65 API gravity)considering GRM.Optimization and selection, bids evaluation & analysis of chemicals/machineries and their Inventory control. Budget preparation & allocation. Refinery weekly and monthly production planning, scheduling and integrity in supply chain to OMC’s. Production targets to meet schedule and blending for timely availability of products. Liaison for the control of product quality (QMS), value addition and profitability improvement plans and revamp projects. Implementation of energy management system ISO 50001:2011(ARL first in Pakistan). Process Safety Management, SIL, risk assessment, management and reduction using best practice methods such as Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA).Periodic review of HSE management standards. Duties as Refinery Safety Engineer. Internal Auditor of Integrated Management System, ISO 9001, 14000 OHSAS 18001 and EMS 50001. ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) operation for the compliance of slop oil treatment, recycling and effluent for NEQS limits. Asphalt, Cutbacks and polymer modified bitumen plant operation, blending, chemical mixing and products availability. Team member of Refinery existing up gradation projects/OSBL for commissioning of Isomerisation, DHDS and Preflash units, the 500 Km Cross Country product oil pipeline and Reduction in Carbon Dioxide Emissions projects.
