Career Objective
Senior Petroleum/Production Engineer with more than 14 years of versatile experience which comprises mainly Subsurface/Completion design and implementation, drilling/work over operations.
Professional Experience
I’m working as a Senior Production Technologist for Tunisian National Oil Company, North Africa. My main responsibility is to maximise the oil production from 70 wells, which currently produce 50,000 barrels oil per day. This involves technically analysing well performance as well as visiting field operations to help solve problems on the wells.
I oversee the implementation of my recommendations – for example, concerning projects to produce more oil and less water. I work with a sub-surface team made up of geologists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers whose major focus is making the most value of the assets we have.
I’m co-ordinating and managing subsurface information to identify opportunities to maximise oil recovery.
Best about my role
I enjoy having ownership of the field’s production where I can see my ideas and actions in practice. Also, I like the changing nature of the job – I can be working on a cost saving proposal one moment and looking for opportunities to drill new wells the next, because of the ever-changing business climate.
Background and experience
I graduated with a Ph.D. in Petroleum & Chemical Engineering from Polytechnic School Breslau in Poland and later on did an MBA. I joined ETAP for the first time in May 1993 and than joined other international companies in their upstream oil business where I worked for many years. I was a Petroleum Engineer, optimising the production, monitoring fields, optimising well flow, analysing well performance, designing of development wells and looking for new technology development and trying to implement it.
Also, I went to work offshore and on shore on a drilling-rig as a member of well construction Team, responsible for full development plan, I mean Completion design, tubing design and stress analysis, perforation type, sand control type, materiel selection, and well modelling.
I master the IPM software package (MBAL, PROSPER and GAP).
My future careers plans.
In the short term I want to grow as a recognised specialist engineer in production technology and develop my skills in the subsurface area. I hope this will also include coordinating challenging oil and gas projects in worldwide oil industry’s companies in couple of years. I am very also interested in broader energy issues like renewable, energy supply and demand, and long-term forecast.
