Purchasing Team Leader

To source & deliver commodities (Material) at the lowest Total System Cost for all ongoing operations and capital projects.

•Conduct tender process for material & services required by end-user, being handy in evaluating tender proposal of various products and services as well as discussing, assessing and resolving sensitive issues together with end-user, contractor's operation to review the adequacy of contractor's operations, Safety Health and Environment (SHE) procedures, personnel and equipment.
•Experience in budget/Engineer Estimate evaluation, developing & understanding a complex scope of work and compensation structure, as well as technical and commercial evaluation criteria/model
•Experience in contract negotiation, drafting, competitive bidding, placement and after-award contract management activities.
•Coordinate with warehouse and expeditor for all related issues (receiving and reject materials, delay delivery and etc.)
•Coordinate with finance for all related issues (terms of payment, invoicing, tax, penalty, debit note and etc.)
•Maintain filing and documentation for audit purposes.
•Experience in conducting market research
•Very good understanding of interpreting legislation and legal advice, as well as international terms and conditions (forms of contracts)
•Extensive knowledge & experience in SAP/SRM & ARIBA (online bidding and e-Reverse Auction)
•Responsible to identify and execute breakthrough cost reduction (cost savings) and business enhancing opportunities.
•Proven track record in developing and managing strategic supplier relationships
•Experience in working independently in managing large, high profile projects.
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet changing deadlines and commitments
