More than 14 years of comprehensive experience in civil/geotechnical, planning and management engineering. This involves design/construction consultancy experience as Civil/Geotechnical Engineer with renowned consulting companies and international joint ventures in Pakistan and abroad.
The core competencies include conception/tender/detailed engineering including investigation, analysis, design and construction supervision of earthen /roller compacted concrete dams/barrages with allied structures, deep excavations, seismic investigations, geotechnical instrumentation, ground improvements using stone columns/vibrocompaction, numerical modeling, tunnels/shafts/drainage galleries, soil nails, retaining walls, slurry walls, sheet piling, bored piles, settlement/slope stability assessment and stabilization measure, assessment of construction operations on adjacent existing structures, stabilization of rock excavation faces, reservoir filling and load operations optimization, rigid/flexible pavements, sewerage schemes/treatment plants. Identifying programs and problems to be investigated. Preparation/review of feasibility/design/completion reports, construction/as built drawings, specifications/bidding documents, tendering/bid evaluations reports and technical proposals as part of business development. Preparation and co-ordination for cost estimates, progress monitoring, project scheduling (using P3) and resourcing, meeting deadlines and budgets. Development and maintenance of relations with clients. Management and staff training.
Geotechnical field (CPT, SPT, Vane shear, pressure meter, load tests etc.) and laboratory investigations including in-situ and laboratory testing of soils and rocks, logging and sampling of test pits/boreholes, interpretation of test results and provision of recommendations.
Excellent proficiency in intelligent use of computers in engineering and software applications.
MAJOR PROJECTS OF EXPERIENCE:
Worked on the following major prestigious hydropower/dam projects along with several others. $2.2 billion Ghazi Barotha, Kalabagh, Chashma, Duber Khawar, BS Link Canal, Malakand-3, SpatGah-Palas Valley, Golan Gol, Jinnah, Pehure, 3 Small Dams FATA and Hub Dam in Pakistan and Moghan Hydropower Project in Iran. others projects.

M/s Zamil and Turbag Consulting Engineers Saudi Arabia
Working with Saudi Electric Company’s (SEC) in Riyadh. The responsibility includes geotechnical, design and construction supervision of sub-station buildings, over basement machine foundations, transmission towers, underground cable network etc.


July 2006 to January 2007 : Principal Geo-technical Engineer
M/s Associated Consulting Engineers (ACE) Pvt. Ltd. Lahore Pakistan.
Worked on revising the feasibility study of very high head hydropower project Palas Valley –Spat-Gah under a consortium of International Groups namely ILF International, ILF Austria, Poery Gmbh and ACE Pakistan. Preparation of technical proposal for feasibility/detailed design for very high head project Golan Gol. Detailed geotechnical, seismic and rock mechanical testing programs planned for roller compacted /concrete faced rock fill dams, tunnels and underground powerhouses. Intensive geological mapping was performed of the parameters used in the Tunneling Quality Index Q (Barton et al 1974, Barton 2000). Design review and modification of Jinnah and Pehur Hydropower powerhouses having 28 m deep excavations and dewatering. Review of feasibility study for Three Small Dam project (earth/rock fill 60-80 m high) and Shera-Tullah project.
